Singapore-based lender OCBC has updated its mobile banking application with two artificial-intelligence-powered avatars designed to provide personalised wealth management guidance to customers, according to reporting from Finextra Research.
What OCBC Announced
The bank has integrated the digital avatars into its revamped app, positioning them as always-available financial guides. According to Finextra, the avatars are built to deliver what OCBC describes as "hyper-personalised" wealth management services in real time, available 24 hours a day. The move places the lender among a growing number of financial institutions experimenting with conversational and avatar-based interfaces as a front end for advice and account services.
