According to ITWeb, Takealot Group is developing its profitable logistics arm into a standalone business aimed at winning revenue from customers outside its own retail platforms.

For years, Takealot's fulfilment and delivery network has served primarily as the operational backbone for its e-commerce marketplace and its associated brands. The shift now being pursued would open that capability to third parties, effectively turning an internal cost centre into a revenue-generating service line.
