
Common Path Launches to Open UK Startups to Low-Income Graduates
A coalition of social mobility and venture capital names has launched Common Path to place graduates from low-income backgrounds into UK startup roles.

A new programme aiming to widen access to Britain's startup sector launched publicly this week, seeking to place graduate talent from low-income backgrounds into early-stage companies. Called Common Path, the initiative invites both graduates and prospective employers to register their interest online, according to reporting by Tech.eu.
The programme is run by Common Ventures, formerly known as Social Mobility Ventures, which describes itself as the UK's most active community of state-educated founders, operators and investors. It arrives backed by a coalition that includes the Sutton Trust, The Hg Foundation, Atomico and Phoenix Court, with additional support from upReach.
