
Robinhood Opens 'AI-Native' Ethereum Layer-2 With Tokenized Stock Trading

Robinhood has moved deeper into blockchain infrastructure, opening the public mainnet for its own Ethereum layer-2 network. As Decrypt reported, the brokerage and crypto exchange switched on the network on Wednesday, positioning it as an "AI-native" chain and pairing the launch with tokenized stock trading.
The development matters for the Africa–Europe technology corridor because tokenized equities and low-cost blockchain rails have become a key battleground for financial platforms seeking cross-border reach. European regulators have been among the most active in shaping rules for tokenized assets, and any expansion of tokenized stock trading by a large U.S. brokerage adds pressure on the region's exchanges and fintech startups to respond.
