Infinix Note 50 in 2026: A Discounted Midranger Worth a Second Look
With the Note 60 now on shelves, the year-old Infinix Note 50 has dropped sharply in price across African markets. Here's when it's still a smart buy.

The Infinix Note 50, launched in March 2025 as a strong value pick in the midrange segment, has become considerably cheaper across African markets a year later, according to a buyer's guide published by TechCabal. With the successor Note 60 now available, shoppers in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa face a familiar question: chase the discount on last year's model, or pay more for the newer hardware.
How Far Prices Have Fallen
At launch, the base Note 50 sold in Nigeria for around ₦311,500, with some retailers listing it closer to ₦319,500, and globally for about $229. As of July 2026, TechCabal reports the phone starts from roughly ₦130,000 on Nigerian marketplaces such as Jiji, though much of that stock is used or clearance units sold as new without the original box. In Kenya, prices range between KES 25,500 and KES 29,300 depending on the retailer. South African listings vary widely across price-comparison sites, so buyers are advised to confirm figures directly with stores.
