A group of prominent Ethereum supporters has formed a new nonprofit designed to bring more financial institutions onto the network, a move that could shape how European banks and asset managers approach on-chain infrastructure in the months ahead.
The organization, called Ethereum Institutional, is backed by ConsenSys founder Joe Lubin along with the crypto treasury firms BitMine and SharpLink. According to reporting from Cointelegraph and Decrypt, the independent body will act as a central contact point and liaison for banks, asset managers and other financial players that want to explore or expand their involvement with Ethereum.
